A FILM WRITER SCREENPLAY CONTEST
CONTEST UPDATE MAY 26, 2013: Thank you for entering our first screenplay contest! Hoping to announce our first quarter-finalists around May 31, 2013. Semi-finalists, finalists, and selected winners to be announced in June.
Terri Zinner founder of A FILM WRITER is proud to announce our very first screenwriting contest. For six years A FILM WRITER & Terri have helped writers of all levels bring their vision to life through storytelling. Many of Terri's clients have gone on to option their screenplays and/or have seen their stories produced. A FILM WRITER & Terri are well-respected in the industry.
Terri hopes that A FILM WRITER CONTEST will help discover new or hidden talent that deserves to be recognized by the industry. This is one step to help achieve this goal.
Each screenplay submitted will receive written feedback notes by readers trained and/or mentored by Terri.
Terri & along with Judges will select the final three winners. There will be a First Place Selected Winner, a Second Place Winner and a Third Place Winner.
FIRST PLACE SELECTION:
1. Winning Script and/or loglines to be sent to Gallagher Literary, Brian Spink Realm Management (logline only), Second Chance Pictures and Zero Gravity Management as well as placement on The Story Readers Spec List. Subject to change.
2. Winning Script Writer will receive Virtual Pitch Fest Package of 5 FREE PITCHES to any producer/agency on their list.
3. Winning Script Writer will receive free coverage (one script per month) and free mentorship from Terri Zinner for one year, including telephone consultation.
4. Winning Script Writer will receive access to all classes from SCREENPLAYCLASSROOM.COM for one year.
5. Winning Script Writer will receive Gary Goldstein's (Producer, Pretty Woman) new book.
6. Mark W. Travis' Hollywood Film Directing DVD Set (value $197.00)
7. Jen Grisanti Story Consultant $200.00 Gift Certificate towards a consult.
8. Winning Script Writer will be featured on A FILM WRITER
9. Free trial year of our screenplay promotion service to Screenwriter Showcase
SECOND PLACE SELECTION:
1. Second place selected writer's script to be placed on the The Story Readers Spec List and sent to companies on list.
2. Second place selected writer will receive Virtual Pitch Fest Package of 3 FREE PITCHES to any producer/agency on their list.
3. Second place selected writer will receive free coverage of any script of their choice by Terri & two trained readers.
4. Second place selected writer will receive free one hour telephone consultation with Terri.
5. Second place selected writer will receive two free classes from SCREENPLAYCLASSROOM.COM
6. Second place selected writer will be featured on A FILM WRITER
7. Free trial year of our screenplay promotion service to Screenwriter Showcase
THIRD PLACE SELECTION:
1. Third place selected writer 's script to be placed on The Story Readers Spec List and sent to companies on the list
2. Third place selected writer will receive Virtual Pitch Fest Package of 2 FREE PITCHES to any producer/agency on their list.
3. Third place selected writer will receive free coverage of any script of their choice from Terri & one trained reader.
